Escrow Terms & Conditions

Newzander operates an integrated escrow payment system for all marketplace transactions. When a buyer completes payment, funds are held by Newzander in escrow and are not released to the seller until the delivery confirmation conditions are met or the applicable escrow release period expires.

Newzander acts as a neutral escrow intermediary. We are not a bank, financial institution, or regulated escrow provider in any specific jurisdiction. Our escrow service is a contractual arrangement between buyers, sellers, and Newzander as platform operator.

Funds held in escrow will be released to the seller upon the earliest of:

• Buyer confirms delivery through the Platform
• The escrow auto-release period (7 days after marked delivery) expires without a buyer dispute
• A dispute is resolved in the seller's favor
• Newzander determines release is appropriate following investigation

3.1 Escrow Will NOT Be Released If:

• A buyer dispute is open and unresolved
• Newzander has placed a compliance or fraud hold on the transaction
• A chargeback or payment reversal has been initiated
• Law enforcement or regulatory authorities have requested a freeze
• The transaction is under AML/suspicious activity review

Newzander may freeze or delay escrow releases in the following circumstances:

• Suspected fraudulent transaction, stolen payment credentials, or identity fraud
• Unusual transaction patterns consistent with money laundering indicators
• Multiple disputes from the same buyer or seller within a short period
• Chargeback filed with the originating payment processor
• Court orders, regulatory directives, or law enforcement requests
• Seller account under compliance review or suspension

In cases of confirmed fraud or chargeback, Newzander may reverse escrow funds to the buyer or the originating payment method. Sellers agree that such reversals may occur and acknowledge Newzander's right to make these determinations.

Transactions paid in USDT (TRC-20) are subject to the same escrow lifecycle. The USDT amount is locked at the USD equivalent rate at time of payment and held in escrow. Newzander does not speculate with, invest, or lend escrow funds. USDT is accepted strictly as a payment method.

Newzander's platform commission serves as the fee for escrow and transaction processing services. No separate escrow fee is charged to buyers. Sellers acknowledge that the commission is deducted from the escrow release amount.

Newzander's liability in connection with escrow services is limited to the amount of the specific transaction in dispute. We are not liable for consequential, indirect, or punitive damages arising from escrow holds, delays, freezes, or reversals made in good faith or pursuant to legal requirements.
